Some of you will remember our original booking office, very small, open fronted and fondly known locally as the 'Punch and Judy' kiosk !!!
Well after surviving two years of facing the elements and believe me we did on some occasions, we now have planning permission for a purpose built premises.
We will still be in the same location on the harbour, just bigger and better.
Although our new building won't be huge it will give us space to create something really special for our visitors.
Plus at last I'll have space to work on new card designs and make them on site, which is really exciting. Mind you the biggest bonus for Ric and I will be space for two chairs, at the moment we fight over the one and only chair!!!
'Sealife' herself will hopefully have a few new extras on board to make the cruise even more special. Ric is hoping to fit in Spring, humane holding tanks.
Our local fishermen are great at passing to Ric when hes out and about anything interesting they catch while working, we've had octopus, lobster, starfish and prawns to name but a few. We are really aware that sometimes creatures can be stressed in these situations, so by building holding tanks with fresh seawater everyone can have the pleasure of seeing animals close up in the right environment.
At this moment in time we are still working on the bio diesel, hopefully by the time the season begins our first batch will be ready to go.
